چکیده
The transport of heat and mass from the surface a cylinder coated with catalyst subject to an impinging flow Casson rheological fluid is investigated. features circumferentially non-uniform transpiration embedded inside homogeneous porous medium. non-equilibrium thermodynamics problem, including Soret Dufour effects local thermal in medium, are considered. Through introduction similarity variables, governing equations reduced set non-linear ordinary differential which subsequently solved numerically. This results prediction hydrodynamic, temperature, concentration entropy generation fields, as well average Nusselt, Sherwood Bejan numbers. It shown that, for low values parameter thus strong non-Newtonian behaviour, system has significant tendency towards maintaining equilibrium. Furthermore, show major reduction Nusselt number during transition Newtonian fluid, while less pronounced. also demonstrated that flow, transfer irreversibilities significantly affected by fluid’s strengthened characteristics. physical reasons these behaviours discussed exploring influence other pertinent factors upon thickness boundary layers. noted this study first systematic investigation stagnation-point cylindrical media.

MHD Three-Dimensional Stagnation-Point Flow and Heat Transfer of a Nanofluid over a Stretching Sheet
In this study, the three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer of stagnation-point flow in a nanofluid was investigated. The Navier–Stokes equations were reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using a similarity transform. The similarity equations were solved for three types of nanoparticles: copper, alumina and titania with water as the base fluid, to inve...
متن کاملAxi-symmetric Stagnation–Point Flow and Heat Transfer Obliquely Impinging on a Rotating Circular Cylinder
Laminar stagnation flow, axi-symmetrically yet obliquely impinging on a rotating circular cylinder, as well as its heat transfer is formulated as an exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. Rotational velocity of the cylinder is time-dependent while the surface transpiration is uniform and steady. The impinging stream is composed of a rotational axial flow superposed onto irrotational rad...

The present paper was aimed to study the effects of variable thermal conductivity and heat generation on the flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field, thermal radiation, porous medium, mass transfer, and variable free stream near a stagnation point on a non-conducting stretching sheet. Equations of continuity, momentum...
متن کاملFluid Flow and Heat Transfer of Nanofluids over a Flat Plate with Conjugate Heat Transfer
The falling and settling of solid particles in gases and liquids is a natural phenomenon happens in many industrial processes. This phenomenon has altered pure forced convection to a combination of heat conduction and heat convection in a flow over a plate. In this paper, the coupling of conduction (inside the plate) and forced convection of a non-homogeneous nanofluid flow (over a flat plate) ...
